HandSkills Course
Good Handskills are a necessary component to becoming a good dentist. The Simodont Dental Trainer utilizes state-of-the-art technology designed specifically to help develop this essential skill. Totally objective scoring enables the student to track his/her progress towards improvement
Jumpstart 1 Course
Building on the skills learned in the HandSkills Course the Jumpstart 1 Course teaches the principles of tooth preparation for various restorative techniques. In addition to the 18 hours of in-person instruction , the student is given access to on-line coursework designed to jumpstart his/her understanding of key dental terminology and concepts.
Jumpstart 2 Course
The advanced training provided in the Jumpstart 2 Course continues to prepare the student for the challenges they will face in dental school. Additional didactic courses are combined with pre-clinical technique instruction to further boost the student's confidence and abilities.
Fast Track I Course
Our Fast Track I Course is a combination of the Hand Skills course and the Jumpstart I Course. The waxing portion of the course is similar to exercises presented in the Jumpstart I course. The virtual haptic portion of the course includes many of the same elements represented in the Hand Skills course as well as an introduction to some basic tooth preparations for restorative and crown and bridge procedures. It is designed primarily for those students who have already been accepted into dental school to better prepare them for the challenges they will face once they enter dental school.
Fast Track II Course
Our Fast Track II Course is a combination of the Hand Skills course and the Jumpstart I Course. The waxing portion of this course is similar to exercises presented in the Jumpstart I course. The virtual haptic portion of the course includes the same elements represented in the Hand Skills course. It is designed primarily for those students who have not yet been accepted into dental school. Although we still believe the skills gained through the Hand Skills course are the foundation to all the subsequent courses we offer, we have decided to offer this class as an introductory course for those desiring to start waxing at an earlier time in their preparation for dental school.
